This meet has status World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze.

Events

Women’s
A-events: 800 metres, 400 metres hurdles and javelin throw.
B-events: 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 meters, 5000 meters* and long jump.

Men’s
A-events: 800 meters and hammer throw.
B-øvelser: 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 meters, 5000 meters*, long jump, discus throw and pole vault.

*5000 meter: qualification standard of 14.30 for men and 17.10 for women.

Prize money

Boysen Award
The prize goes to the male runner who equals or beats Audun Boysen’s legendary record of 1:45.90 on 800m, a time that stood as the Norwegian record for 37 years. The award will also be given to women who run faster than 2:01.00. Only one person per gender can win the award.

The prize is 10 000 NOK which is approx. 1 000 EUR.

Foreign participants will be deducted a 15% tax fee. Prizes will be paid out by invoice sent by athletes’ agent, club, or federation.

WaveLight

WaveLight Technologies will be used for pacing. With this system we will be able to set several paces on the middle and long distance races. The schedule for the different lights in each heat will be published at the stadium.

Placing Score

For the global championships you either qualify thru Entry standard or In World Rankings quota. For In World Rankings quota placing score is of importance. Boysen Memorial has C status and awards the following points.

In A-events, only the eight best athletes in the A-race/final will receive ranking points (Men’s 800 meters, Women’s 800 meters, Women’s Javelin, (Men’s hammer)). The B, C, D, E-races will be regarded as national events, and will not receive C-category points, only basic F-category points.

In B-events (all other events), the eight(8) best in the summery of all results will get the C-ranking points.
